SWE-DISH IPT Suitcase gains widespread acceptance in the US

SWE-DISH Satellite Systems has sold over 100 satellite terminals to several US Defense and Federal Agency customers.

SWE-DISH Satellite Systems specializes in compact, quick-to-air and easy-to-use mobile satellite communication equipment, and has developed the smallest broadband satellite terminal in the world, the IPT Suitcase. Mobile satellite terminals are a key component when connecting remote and deployed users back into their home networks and are crucial in re-establishing connectivity during disaster relief operations and peace keeping activities.

SWE-DISH Satellite Systems has reached a milestone in the US with sales of its combat proven IPT Mil Suitcase (AN/USC-68). This system is used for the transmission of video, data and voice content via satellite from remote or temporary established sites anywhere in the world. The IPT Mil Suitcase has gained acceptance within the US Government for its performance and size. Currently SWE-DISH boasts over 100 terminals sold and over 25 different governmental customers.

"This is an important milestone for SWE-DISH. It shows a high level of acceptance of our IPT Suitcase from military and governmental customers that demand the best. We feel this milestone confirms our position as one of the key suppliers of mobile satellite communication equipment, and we see a continued strong growth in the US market", says Lars Jehrlander, CEO SWE-DISH.

SWE-DISH has won several contracts with the US Department of Defense, the latest one has a total value of USD 18 million. SWE-DISH has established its satellite communication equipment with the US Department of Defense primarily in the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The IPT Suitcase has been awarded a FCC license (2-degree spacing) which proves its performance and ease of operation in the US.
