SWE-DISH wins major order to Telewizja Polska
SWE-DISH
Satellite Systems has won a major contract for five complete drive-away
satellite systems to Telewizja Polska, adding to a previous order for
the SWE-DISH IPT Suitcase system. The two orders are worth more than
EUR 1.2 million.
Telewizja Polska (TVP) is the largest broadcaster in Poland. In an open bid SWE-DISH was selected to supply five DA150K Drive-Away satellite systems. Last year TVP also procured the SWE-DISH IPT Suitcase. Alone, these two orders are worth more than EUR 1.2 million. However, these are not the first times TVP turns to SWE-DISH for satellite equipment. The DA150K Drive-Away satellite systems have been in active use with TVP since 1999.
- We are glad and proud that we received renewed trust to support TVP's satellite newsgathering. I see this order as a proof of our long-term commitment to our customers. We know that TVP have very high demands on their equipment, says Lars Jehrlander, CEO of SWE-DISH.
TVP will use the drive-away systems to strengthen their satellite newsgathering operations, and the coverage of major events. The IPT Suitcase will be used to cover breaking news as well as for overseas news.
Right from the beginning, the SWE-DISH DA150K Drive-Away antenna system was designed to combine high antenna performance with extreme durability and ruggedness. At site, the antenna deploys and automatically points the antenna at the selected satellite.
The SWE-DISH IPT Suitcase is the world's most compact and quickest-to-air satellite terminal. The IPT Suitcase with its one-person operation and exceptional technical performance allows live transmission of up to 6 Mbps from virtually anywhere in the world.
